Episode One- Baby Daddy Land

Our story starts with apologies….

Our darling Alessi is charming her way out of trouble

Who could possibly say no to this face? Lucky for her, Douglas can’t, and they soon make up.

Unfortunately, Lorelai is having a bit more trouble convincing her hubby that the scene he walked in on meant nothing. Nothing at all.

However, after many hours of pleading and begging for forgiveness, he finally forgives her.

That evening, Douglas arrives home from work to discover his wife soaking in the hot tub.

He can’t help but come in with her

It was at this point did Alessi finally realize that she was completely and utterly in love with her husband.

And at that exact second, Nick was talking with Lorelai and decided he didn’t love her anymore.

Why? Because, Lorelai confided in him. She told him that she was pregnant… and it probably wasn’t his.

He lay awake that night thinking about Alessi. He didn’t love her, not really. But she was more motherly, and Lorelai was more do whatever she pleased. Maybe, he wondered, they could start a beautiful family, just the two of them, without any cheating.

By the time he decided to get up and look for Alessi, she and Douglas were finishing up in the hot tub.

By the time he actually found her, they were starting up again.

Alessi at least had enough of a conscience to chase after him. She only wanted to talk to him, but she found herself being confronted. He demanded she leave Douglas or he was done with her.

“I’m sorry,” whimpered Alessi. “But Douglas is my husband and I love him. You were just a one time thing. You mean nothing to me. I’m not leaving the love of life for you.”

“What going on?!” demanded Lorelai as she marched outside. “What are you doing with HER?!”

Alessi just stood there, looking at Lorelai’s stomach.

“You better not be sneaking around with her again!” snapped Lorelai, who was especially suspicious since Alessi was in her bikini.

Alessi forced a smile and exclaimed, “Of course not! We bumped into each other. He told me your about to be a mom. Congrats.” She then marched away, knowing quite well who the baby’s father was.

Lorelai narrowed her eyes. “You aren’t still with her, are you?”

“Of course not!” snarled Nick. “That Alessi is nothing but a piece of trash!”

 

“Besides,” chirped Nick, who was hurting from what Alessi told him. “I want you and the baby.”

“But honey,” stuttered Lorelai. “It’s not….”

“I don’t care if I’m not the father!” declared Nick in an attempt to cover the pain. “I want to be the daddy!” He then began to talk to the baby.

“Hey Lil guy!” he squealed. “I’m going to be your daddy! Yes I am! Yes I am!”

Inside, Alessi desperately wanted to be happy for Lorelai. A baby is a wonderful thing. But how could she when her husband fathered a child outside of their marriage?

Although she couldn’t exactly hold much of a grudge about it, especially when she discovered that she was pregnant with Nick’s child.

The pain was too much for her, though it helped when you could crawl into bed and cuddle with the one you love.

Alessi didn’t have the guts to tell Douglas in the morning, so she waited till he got home from work.

“Douglas…” she whimpered the second he walked in the door. “I’m pregnant."

Douglas was happy for all of one second, when he looked into his wife’s face and saw guilt staring back at him.

“I wouldn’t blame you for a second if you left me,” said Alessi. “But I still don’t want Nick to be a father to the child.”

Douglas shook his head. “You know, Alessi, it may not be mine, but any child of you is very special in my book.”

“Really?” cried Alessi. “Because, really, I’m not asking you…”

Douglas grabbed her and pulled her into a hug. “I mean it.” He whispered. “I love you.”

Alessi began to cry. “I love you, too.” She wept.

Poor Lorelai wasn’t that lucky. Though her husband said he wanted to be in the child’s life, he was never around during the pregnancy. He missed the ultrasound, listening to the heartbeat, and finding out the gender. He also avoided his wife whenever possible.

He usually spent his time at work or at the local bar, but when he was at home he worked out in front of the TV, creating a sweaty mess, and refusing to stop until his muscles ached more than his heart.

He also spent a lot of time in the nursery, wondering why he ever agreed to raise a kid that wasn’t his own. And the woman who was actually pregnant with his child didn’t want him involved in anyway. It hurt and confused him too much, and he decided to just ignore the whole situation.

Will Douglas really want to raise Alessi's child?

Will Nick keep his promise to Lorelai?

Will any of these relationships last past lunch?
